What is picFlips Mobile Flipbook Studio?

PicFlips is to video what Polaroid is to photography – instant gratification! The process is simple: One or more persons who wish to be forever immortalized in a flipbook stand between a backdrop and the studio setup (a monitor, camera, and light) and shoot their video (with the option of re-shooting until they are satisfied). The flipbooks are then printed, covered and bound. Each flipbook is approximately the size of a stack of 60 standard business cards. Covers can be customized for any event.

How does picFlips work?

PicFlips Mobile Flipbook Studio takes up a space of about 10ft x 10ft. This includes a staging area backed with a white screen, facing a touch screen panel, photography light, and video camera. Printing/binding materials and props are off to the side. The customer will stand in the staging area and use the monitor to shoot their 6-10 second video. They will then have the option to restart or print their flipbook. After printing, it will only be a few minutes until the flipbook is ready!  Each flipbook made will be unique. Each person can have their own special keepsake of the event.

How can I use picFlips Mobile Flipbook Studio in my event?

PicFlips can be used in a variety of ways. It is usually rented on an hourly basis to provide gifts/favors to guests. This includes unlimited flipbooks, props and all materials. Basic customization of the covers is also complimentary. PicFlips can also be set up at events as a souvenir-making stand, where customers can purchase flipbooks. This ideal for a fair or festival where an organizer wants something truly unique! How can the flipbooks be customized?

For basic customized flipbooks, text, graphics and logos can be added to any surface of the cover. This can even include adding business card information or a special thank-you message to the back or inside of the cover.  Spare Time Events, LLC can assist in designing the cover, or a design can be given to us. We use heavy cardstock and are able to provide almost any color.  If special cardstock and/or embossing is desired, this is possible for an upcharge based on the cost of materials.  You will be able to approve a proof of your cover prior to the event, to ensure that it will look exactly how you imagine it.

If I lose it or want an extra copy after the event is over, can I get a copy?

No problem! Spare Time Events, LLC keeps copies of picFlips videos for at least 3 months. Simply contact Spare Time Events, LLC and have the original flipbook on hand, as the last frame contains the file number.  If it is past 3 months, we still recommend contacting us.  We don't erase our files unless we absolutely need to.
